Startup Day 2020

sTARTUp Day 2020 a three-day festival with a marvelous stage program, effective matchmaking, hands-on seminars, exhibition area full of innovation and vibrant side events. The inspirational-educational program consists of various topics – from marketing to space tech, fundraising to the smart city, artificial intelligence to the creative economy.

In 2019, sTARTUp Day took place for the third time, bringing together over 120 world-class speakers, 350 startups, 100 investors and 4000 attendees from 65 different countries all over the world. It’s a community-organized festival, organized by the city of Tartu, University of Tartu, Tartu Science Park, Contriber, Tartu Biotechnology Park, Tartu Business Advisory Services, Tartu Centre for Creative Industries, Ole Rohkem, and Swedbank.

The international activities of sTARTUp Day 2020 introducing Tartu and Estonia as an attractive tourism destination of business and networking are supported by The European Regional Development Fund (30 000 euros for 1 event).

As a result, we expect the 4000 participants of sTARTUp Day to feel inspired and have a better knowledge of building a business, more companies to be started both in Tartu and in Estonia as a whole. In addition to that, sTARTUp Day 2020 will supposedly increase the number of tourists and brand Tartu as one of the most entrepreneurial cities in the region.
